A Performance-Driven, Invitation-Only Event

The AGPA Elite Performance Auction is a newly redesigned, high-quality auction created to elevate dairy goat genetics, reward performance participation, and strengthen buyer confidence across Arkansas.

This auction is paired with the AGPA Performance Sweepstakes Program, ensuring long-term recognition and value for both buyers and donors.

This is not a general consignment auction. It is an intentionally elite, performance-focused event.

Invitation-Only & Nomination-Based

To maintain high standards, all auction animals are invitation-only or approved through nomination.

Breeders may:

  • Nominate their own herd for consideration, or

  • Be nominated by another AGPA member or supporter

All nominations are reviewed by the AGPA Auction Committee, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

How Nominations Work

Self-Nomination (Herds Interested in Donating)

Breeders who wish to be considered for the Elite Performance Auction may complete the entire nomination form, including:

  • Contact information

  • Farm/herd name

  • Animal details

  • Performance information

  • Required documentation

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee acceptance.

Third-Party Nominations (Recommending a Herd)

AGPA members and supporters may recommend breeders they believe produce high-quality, performance-focused dairy goats.

If you are nominating someone else:

  • Complete ONLY the top portion of the nomination form:

    • Contact name

    • Farm name

  • Do not complete animal or performance sections

Once submitted:

  • AGPA will contact the nominated herd directly

  • The herd owner will decide whether to participate and complete the remaining information

Expectations for Donated Animals

All animals accepted into the AGPA Elite Performance Auction must meet baseline health and registration requirements. Performance expectations help ensure that animals offered through the auction are bred for long-term success.

Mandatory Requirements (All Animals)
  • Registered with ADGA

  • CAE-negative tested herd (within the past 12 months)

Performance Expectations

Performance expectations may be met in one of the following ways, depending on the age of the animal:

Adult Animals

For mature animals, performance expectations should be met by the animal itself, when applicable.

Examples include:

  • Linear Appraisal history (85+ preferred)

  • Milk stars or documented production records

  • Champion or Reserve Champion wins

  • Elite, SG, or SGCH genetics

  • Consistent participation in DHIR, LA, or sanctioned shows

Kids (Young Animals)

For kids or young animals that have not yet had the opportunity to participate in performance programs, performance expectations may be met through pedigree.

In these cases, performance may be demonstrated by the dam, the sire, and/or grandparents (maternal or paternal)
