Meet the Candidates
The Arkansas Goat Producers Association is fortunate to have members who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to serve our organization.
Below you'll find the candidates seeking election to the AGPA Board of Directors. Each candidate was asked to complete a questionnaire sharing their background, experience, and vision for the future of AGPA. Their responses are presented to help members become familiar with each candidate before casting their vote.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to read through each profile and consider the unique skills, experiences, and perspectives each candidate brings to the organization.

Devon Miller
President
Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
I believe in “putting your money where your mouth is,” so to speak. If you want to see continued change and improvement locally, that can only happen if you are willing to be a part of the team making those changes and improvements.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
10 years of dairy goat breeding experience. 4 years as a licensed ADGA judge. One of the youngest ADGA members to receive nomination to run for a seat on the BOD. Unique experience interacting with dairy goat breeders across the country during my time with Blue Mountain Genetics. On the show side of things I have unique perspective thanks to my time spent judging in various states throughout the country. Professionally, I bring experience in large scale industrial construction project management as well as back end administration and financial management. I bring experience working in the equine and caprine reproduction fields, and veterinary experience working in small animal emergency veterinary medicine.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
I believe the AGPA has done a fantastic job in recent years taking member concerns and ideas seriously. I believe there were massive improvements made to the spring show this year, as well as an increase in youth program availability and events geared toward helping members. Specifically the potential LA special session, buck collection, and AI clinic.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
I would like to see increased efficiency at the large spring show. There has to be a way to prevent the show from running so late. I would also like to see increased educational programs for youth and adult breeders. Arkansas is a HARD state to raise goats in, but the way we combat this is to uplift breeders through education on how to be successful in our difficult climate.

I firmly believe AGPA members should vote for the candidate they feel best suited for the role. I will never claim to have every solution, but can promise the members to use my knowledge and experience to continue improving our association.

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
Over the past two years serving as Member-at-Large and Vice President, I've developed a deep appreciation for what AGPA can accomplish when dedicated volunteers work together toward a common goal. I am seeking election as President because I am ready to help lead our organization into its next chapter. What excites me most is the opportunity to continue building a strong organization that provides meaningful opportunities for dairy goat producers across Arkansas, with a special emphasis on our youth members. I believe our dairy goat community is unique because we all have something to learn from one another, regardless of experience level. My vision is for AGPA to continue growing its membership, strengthening our youth programs, expanding educational opportunities, and helping Arkansas breeders earn recognition as some of the best in the country.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
During my time on the board, I have worked to turn ideas into action. This past year, I organized agendas and led many of our board meetings, helped establish committees and recruit volunteers for Diamonds in the Rock to improve the exhibitor experience, chaired the Elite Performance Auction and helped launch it from the ground up, and coordinated educational opportunities such as our

Linear Appraisal Clinic. I have also been leading the ongoing redevelopment of our website to improve communication, make information easier to access, and better serve our members. One of my greatest strengths is continually seeking feedback so we can evaluate what is working well and identify opportunities for improvement. Professionally, I bring more than 20 years of experience in education, where organization, communication, planning, and collaboration have been essential to my success. I also own and operate my own consulting business while managing the bookkeeping for my husband's forestry business. These experiences have strengthened my skills in leadership, project management, budgeting, and organization.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
I am proud of the momentum AGPA has built over the past couple of years. We've seen increased membership, improved communication, expanded educational opportunities, and growing excitement within Arkansas's dairy goat community. I believe we've created an organization that is becoming more engaged, more connected, and more focused on serving its members. The willingness of our volunteers to step up and work together has been one of our greatest strengths, and I believe that teamwork will continue to move AGPA forward.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
My highest priority is investing in our youth. I want to continue growing our youth membership while creating programs and opportunities that help young exhibitors develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to be successful both inside and outside the show ring. I also want to continue expanding educational opportunities, improving member benefits, strengthening communication, and creating additional ways for members to stay involved throughout the year. Most importantly, I want AGPA to continue building an organization that serves producers of all experience levels and creates an environment where members feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Serving on the AGPA Board over the past two years has been a very rewarding experience. The accomplishment I am most proud of isn't a single project; it's hearing members tell us they can see positive changes in our organization. Knowing that our work is making a difference motivates me to continue serving.
I believe leadership is about bringing people together, listening to different perspectives, organizing ideas, and helping turn those ideas into reality. My commitment has always been to put the needs of our members and our dairy goat community first. If elected President, I will continue working hard to build an organization that is transparent, welcoming, financially responsible, and focused on providing meaningful opportunities for every member—from those just getting started to our most experienced breeders.
I believe the best decisions are made when we listen first, communicate openly, and work together toward solutions that benefit the membership as a whole.

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
Serving as AGPA Treasurer for the past three years has been one of the most rewarding leadership opportunities I've had. During that time, I've gained a thorough understanding of our organization's operations while also stepping in wherever needed to help the board succeed. I am seeking the position of Vice President because I want to continue building on that experience and help lead AGPA into its next chapter. I believe strong leadership comes from serving others, being willing to do the work, and always putting the membership first.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
Over the past three years, I've worked far beyond the responsibilities of Treasurer. I've served as Co-Chair of the Diamonds in the Rock Dairy Goat Show, helped lead member meetings, created meeting agendas, managed memberships, assisted with our website and social media, and supported nearly every AGPA event. I've also stepped in to fulfill the duties of President, Vice President, and Secretary whenever needed. One of my greatest accomplishments has been streamlining AGPA's financial and bookkeeping processes. I have worked to organize our records,
improve efficiency, and create systems that will allow future treasurers to transition smoothly into the role. I enjoy finding ways to make our organization stronger through organization, teamwork, and long-term planning.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
AGPA has built a strong reputation for hosting high-quality events, supporting youth exhibitors, and creating opportunities for dairy goat enthusiasts across Arkansas and beyond. Our members are passionate, dedicated, and always willing to volunteer their time to make our events successful. I also believe we've made great strides in improving communication, increasing our visibility, and growing the professionalism of our organization.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
As Vice President, I want to continue strengthening the foundation we've built while helping AGPA grow for the future. My goals include improving member engagement, expanding educational opportunities, supporting the continued growth of our events, and ensuring our organization remains financially strong and well-organized. I also want to continue developing processes and resources that make it easier for future board members and volunteers to step into leadership roles and be successful.

It has been an honor to serve AGPA over the past three years, and I'm grateful for the trust our members have placed in me. I believe in leading by example, working behind the scenes, and doing whatever is needed to help our organization succeed. If elected as your Vice President, I will continue to serve with integrity, transparency, and a genuine commitment to our members and the future of AGPA. Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
To serve members of the AGPA.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
Organizational and record keeping skills. I have served as secretary on several church committees and leader of several 4-H clubs.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
Providing educational opportunities to youth and adults, promoting the dairy goat industry, and providing a well run show for exhibitors to attend.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
To provide members with organized information to allow them to find what they need easily.
Kim Webb

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
I enjoy showing and want to be part of promoting dairy goats in Arkansas.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
I’ve been a small business owner for over 20 years and I have experience with every aspect that entails.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
I think AGPA encourages youth participation and education and I think the educational clinics are amazing.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
Continuing to grow and promote dairy goats in Arkansas.

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
I have been approached before about accepting a nomination but with the job I held, my head was already wearing too many hats. I have accepted a new job at UAM in Monticello teaching Animal Science and as assistant farm manager. I believe that due to my job change, I will be able to uphold the responsibilities that come with a board position.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
I have been an agriculture educator for the past 13 years. Throughout that time I have managed my students activities year round, managed our Facebook page, created flyers for various events and fundraisers, and volunteered multiple times as ring steward at various shows.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
This organization has grown exponentially since my son and I first became a part of it. It has increased in organization, leadership, and youth.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
I would like to see us continue to grow our current endeavors while managing issues as a unit. I would like to see our youth programs continue to grow and provide opportunities for our members to grow themselves as well.

I have had the pleasure the past 11 years to bring students to dairy goat shows, assist students in starting their own herd, and helping my son start his own herd. The youth have been and will always be my why. I noticed when the “about me” asked for a photo that I didn’t have one of me with my students or son with goats. It’s mainly because I’m the one behind the camera or where you probably know me the most… from my clipboard and pen yelling ringside for goats to line up.

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
After being hands-on helping at the DITR 2026 show, I felt the desire to further help the club and its members in all endeavors possible.
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
My experience with goats started at 5 years old and is now a passion and love affair, with both meat and dairy breeds. My skills and strengths are detailed record keeping, keen observations, thorough record-keeping, organization, planning and executing events, also clear communication with multiple moving parts and parties. My work experience includes restaurant management, insurance adjusting and child welfare investigations.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
I believe AGPA has done an awesome job at promoting shows and clinics around the state.
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
My goals if elected would include more frequent communications to foster more involvement, make steps towards more widespread events/workshops/clinics around the state and strive to reach more youth and support the next generation of AGPA.

I am honored to be nominated and ask you to remember two main points as you consider me for this role: love and the future. Where there is love there is care, attention, patience, kindness, and willingness to improve — this also speaks to the future. My goal is to support AGPA as needed to make what is great in AGPA even better, promote youth involvement and a solid, positive, productive team environment in all aspects.

Why are you seeking election to the AGPA board?
I am seeking election to become more involved in an industry and organization that has given so much to me. The very first goat show I attended was the spring show at the Arkansas State Fair Grounds years ago. So it feels like a full circle moment to run for a position in the association that put on that show. I want to be able to assist members and non-members at events to help foster that same feeling for others so that they may experience the same joy I had at my first AGPA event!
What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
I have over 8 years experience in customer service related jobs. This has allowed me to deepen my understanding of interpersonal skills such as: patience, understanding, pragmatism, and being able to look someone in the eye and tell them yes in cases and absolutely not in others. I’ve attended the 2024 ADGA National show as well as two different conventions, which allowed me to develop a larger understanding of organization and facilitation of large goat centered events.
What do you believe AGPA is doing well today?
I believe the spring show was ran very well this year, especially how friendly and helpful the volunteers and staff were!
What specific goals would you like to help accomplish if elected?
I would like to see even more member engagement in events sponsored by the association. That being said as a “newer” person in dairy goats I would like to see more resources going into programs centered around encouraging youth participation and skills workshops for all ages.

I don’t come from a family of dairy goat showmen. I am someone that fell in love with goats and showing as an adult. Thus I come with a fresh perspective to the industry and belief that there are endless possibilities to continue improving and making the association work for the betterment of its members.

What experiences, skills or strengths would you bring to this position?
Over 5 years of experience with goats and goat showing, leadership among youth participants in the past, and the drive to advance diary goats in the state of Arkansas.
